The final and seventh Sabbath of this study is the "7th Millennial Sabbath". This is the only Sabbath that Yahweh created that is still future. It also is the only period that has a 7th cycle pause that will only occur once. It follows the typical 7th cycle pause and goes like this:
Each millennium (1000 year period) is treated as a day.
For a thousand years in your eyes
are like yesterday when it passes,
or like a watch in the night.
Psalms 90:4
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with יהוה [Yahweh, our god] as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 2 Peter 3:8
And Yahweh commanded the man, saying, “From every tree of the garden you may freely eat, but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you shall surely die.” Genesis 2:16-17
We know that Adam did NOT die the same twenty-four hour day that he ate the fruit. Some argue that he died spiritually that day, but that is a rationalization without scriptural support. Yahweh meant physical death because he further said (regarding the penalty of sin):
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. Genesis 3:19
However, Adam physically died at the age of 930 years. The only way to interpret this as truth is to accept the Biblical day for a year (Psalms 90:4, 2 Peter 3:8) Then, Adam did die in the day he ate. There is some historical evidence for this interpretation:
... Adam died, and all his sons buried him in the land of his creation, ... And he lacked
seventy years of one thousand years; for one thousand years are as one day in the
testimony of the heavens and therefore was it written concerning the tree of knowledge:
‘On the day that ye eat thereof ye will die.’ For this reason he did not complete
the years of this day; for he died during it.‛ Book of Jubilees, IV, 29-30
Although the "Book of Jubilees" has not been included in most accepted canon, there are some peoples (especially in Ethiopia) who treat it as part of the Bible. More scrolls from Jubilee were found in Qumran (the Dead Sea scrolls) than of the Torah. Early Christians held this same view. They considered the creation week of seven days to be a type for the whole working of sin (six days of creation and one day of rest). Taking a day for a year, six thousand years (six days) to work out the problem of sin, and then comes "that day" the thousand years (millennium or seventh day) of Sabbath rest.
Another "type" of the day of rest occurring after six days, is the transfiguration.
And after six days [on the seventh day] Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them. Mark 9:2
Why did He wait "six days" and why was the six day wait mentioned? This was Yahushua's entrance into the Kingdom of Heaven on the seventh day (rest, "after six days") which also represent the six days (six thousand years) before entering the Kingdom of Heaven, on the seventh day (the millennial day of rest in Heaven).
Paul describes entering into rest in Hebrews 3 and 4.
For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world...And Elohim did rest the seventh day from all his works. Hebrews 4:3,4
Quoting Genesis 2:2-3 Hebrews clearly relates Yahweh's labor from the beginning (foundation - six days of labor) to His rest on the seventh day, with the creation week's six days of labor (work of creation) and seventh day of rest. Paul equates the day of rest at creation (Genesis 2:2-3) with the promised rest of the consummation after all His labor.
Yahushua [Joshua the son of Nun] is a type for Yahushua the Son of Yahweh [Jesus the Messiah]. The first Yahushua [Joshua] was to have led the people into the promised land (rest). But they refused (hardened their heart) and didn't receive rest. If they had, David wouldn't have spoken of another.
Harden not your heart [next time - at the consummation], as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work. Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways: Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest. Psalms 95:8-11
For if Yahushua [Joshua the son of Nun] had given them rest, then would he [David] not afterward have spoken of another day. Hebrews 4:8
There remaineth therefore [still future] a rest to the people of Elohim. Hebrews 4:9
Because this future rest is related to the creation week (Hebrews 4:4), it must also be six days of labor and a seventh day of rest. This is the millinnial (1000 years) rest in Heaven.
This is further proven by the phrase "day of judgment". We know that judgment will last 1000 years (the millennium) but it is called a "day".
Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. Matthew 10:15
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. Matthew 12:36
And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of יהוה [Yahweh], and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. Revelation 20:2-4
Yahushua [Jesus], the Messiah will reign as king during the age of a thousand years .
And to him is given dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, and all peoples, nations, and languages do serve him, his dominion is a dominion age-during, that passeth not away, and his kingdom that which is not destroyed. Daniel 7:14
For the Son of man is master even of the sabbath day. Matthew 12:8
As noted in the study "The 7th Week Sabbath" Yahweh is NOT limited by EXACT time. He is the creator of time and it does what He says, rather than the reverse. So, we can't imply or infer that this time will be exactly 6000 years of work (it is already past). His "work" is also contingent on the time it takes man to be ready (the Elect sealed and the wicked marked).
He is master of the Sabbath and this is the "7th Millennial Sabbath". Praise the name of Yahweh! Psalms 135:1
